Working with Mylee came at one of the most vulnerable periods of my life. An injury forced me to retire from kickboxing, a sport that had been central to my identity for years. Transitioning to boxing was not just a physical shift but an emotional one and losing my first boxing match felt like the final blow. I wasn’t just grieving a loss in the ring; I was grieving who I thought I was. Without that identity, I felt untethered, depressed, and unsure of how to define myself moving forward.
From the very first moment, Mylee met me with complete nonjudgment, deep empathy, and genuine presence. She understood that what I was experiencing wasn’t “just” about sport. She recognized the profound sense of loss, grief, and disorientation that comes when something foundational is taken away. I never once felt rushed, minimized, or misunderstood. She held space for my experience in a way that felt safe, respectful, and deeply human.
I have done breathwork in the past, but nothing prepared me for the depth of this work. Mylee guided me into places I had been avoiding, emotions and triggers I did not want to face but desperately needed to in order to heal. The session was intense and emotionally demanding, yet it never felt overwhelming because of how skilled and attuned she was. She knew exactly when to challenge me and when to support me, allowing the process to unfold in a way that felt both powerful and contained.
What came out on the other side was something I can only describe as a deep internal shift. I accessed strength I didn’t realize was still there. There was a sense of release, clarity, and contentment that followed, a quiet steadiness that stayed with me long after the session ended. This was not a temporary emotional high. The work translated into real life. I noticed changes in how I related to myself, how I carried my grief, and how I began to reconnect with purpose beyond performance or identity.

Breathwork is the practice of using controlled, intentional breathing to calm the nervous system, improve focus, and regulate emotions. It’s one of the fastest natural tools we have to shift the body out of stress and into a state of calm.
For adults (and children), breathwork works because it teaches the brain and body how to slow down, reset, and feel safe anytime, anywhere.
